Rabies Veterinary Vaccine-Cell Culture

RABIVAC VET,  Rabies Veterinary vaccine, inactivated, is recommended for immunization of dogs and other domestic animals against rabies for prophylaxis and post-bite therapy. Normally, the antibody response is observed 7-14 days after vaccination, but vaccinated animals should not be exposed to the risk of rabies during these 14 days. The immunity obtained from the vaccination remains in the body for up to 3 years, but according to the recommendation of the World Health Organization, vaccination against this disease must be repeated in animals every year.

Foot-and-Mouth Disease Vaccine

FUTVAC is used to control foot-and-mouth disease in cloven-hoofed animals such as cattle, buffaloes, sheep and goats. This vaccine can be used in vaccination of pregnant animals. however, to be on the safer side, the vaccination of the animals in advanced pregnancy may be avoided. Nojan Mehr Company is the first importer of FMD vaccine based on Mineral oil adjuvant in Iran, which has played an effective role in controlling this disease in the country by providing 12 million doses of this vaccine and making it available to the country’s veterinary organization.

Foot-and-Mouth Disease Vaccine, Inactivated

Trade name: FUTVACTM

Generic name: foot-and mouth disease vaccine, inactivated B.P.(VET)
Packaging form in Iran: Multidose vial containing 100 ml/50 cattle Doses & 100 ml/100 sheep and Goats doses

Target species: Cattle, Buffaloes, Sheep & Goats
Vaccinated schedule: for Cattle,  Buffaloes, Sheep & Goats
Primary vaccination: 3 months of age and above.
Booster dose: 9 months after primary vaccination.
Re-Vaccination: Annual
Post vaccination reactions: Generally, there are no adverse reactions noticed.
Occasionally a transient palpable swelling may occur at the site of injection, which will subside in 24-48 hours.
Vaccination of pregnant animals: FUTVAC can be used in vaccination of pregnant animals. However, to be on safer side, the vaccination of the animal in advanced pregnancy may be avoided.
Precautions: immunize only healthy animals.
Malnutrition, infestation with worms, administration of immunosuppressive agents such as corticosteroids or radiotherapy will interfere with the immune response to vaccine.

Administer vaccine: by deep intramuscular route, through an area of clean, dry skin taking precautions against contamination.
Shake well before use: shake well the bottle of vaccine before use in order to ensure thorough homogenization.
Store: and transfer the vaccine at +2 ‘ C to +8 ‘ C.
The antigenicity of the vaccine deteriorates if the temperature is allowed to rise above this range. At no stage should the vaccine be allowed to freeze.
Avoide usage if the vaccine is discolored due to phase separation into oil and water.
Injection of mineral oil into humans can produce serious localized reactions and special care should be taken to avoid accidental inoculation. If it happens, consult at physician immediately.

Rabies Veterinary Vaccine-Cell Culture

Generic name: Rabies veterinary vaccine inactivated
Dosage form: suspension

Immunity: immunity is conferred for 36 months. However, annual vaccination is recommended in endemic areas as per the WHO guidelines.

Target species: Doges and other domestic animals
Indication: the vaccine is intended for immunization of dogs and other domestic animals against rabies for prophylaxis and post-bite therapy. 1ml for dog and other domestic animals.
Precautions: Immunize only healthy animals. Malnutrition, infestation with worms, administration of immunosuppressive agents such as corticosteroids or radiotherapy will interfere with the immune response to vaccine.
Post-vaccination reactions: Generally, there are no adverse reactions noticed. Occasionally a transient palpable swelling may occur at the site of injection, which will subside in 24 hours.

Dosage & Administration: 1 ml intramuscular or subcutaneous use only. Shake well before use.
Prophylactic use: a single dose is administered for animals of 3 months of age and above.
Post-Bite therapy: five doses are to be given repeatedly as scheduled below ;

1th dose On 0 day (the day of injection after dog bite)
2th dose 3rd day
3th dose 7th day
4th dose 14th day
5th dose 28th day
6th dose 90th day

Storage & Transport: store and transport the vaccine between 2′ C and 8 ‘C until use. At no stage should the vaccine be allowed to freeze. Protect from sunlight.
Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture
